4 months ..

the WMM [wisconsin milwaukee mission] has my heart.

always. forever.

its been four months since i have been home.

AND

still not one day goes by that i dont THINK about or TALK to someone from Wisconsin.

i love that place.

dont get me wrong. i love home too.

cali nation gots it going on.

but wow. wisconsin.

the restored gospel of jesus christ is true.

it is!

"normal" life is good. i am getting the hang of it better and better. each and everyday.

President Barrett told me when i left the WMM ..

"Good things come to an end so that BETTER things can come."

its happening.

FREEDOM.

i love the fourth of july.

especially sparklers.

last year i wore this red dress and blue earrings to show my love of America.

last year i was in Appleton, Wisconsin.

last year i was a missionary.

did you know missionaries are NOT allowed to play with fireworks?

ya its one of the many rules.

i really did COMPLETELY forget.

i saw sparklers and got SO excited.

only AFTER the fact of playing with them did one of the elders remind sister johnson and i that is was illegal for us.

thanks. telling us BEFORE would have been a greater help. 

too late. we got some sweet photographs though.

i miss this girl. my little sister j.

V = for Virginia. her first name.

nothing prettier than Virginia in May. Johnson.

this year was quite a diff experience.

for 1. july 4th was on SUNDAY. 

Sundays for me means i dont do anything but Church and relax with marmie.

for 2. i was NOT a missionary.

which meant SPARKLERS = GO FOR IT!

for 3. i was HOME. monrovia style.

that hasnt happened in 4+ years.

funnest time all together.

we [mikey. hillary jones. d-roq. melanie.] played with sparklers and photography.

we also played rook most of the night.

you and d-roq = team domination.

good thing we split you boys up.

good things to come

i watched this today [as in it still being 06.22.10].

it really uplifted me. inspired me. helped me.

you know those times when you just need something. but you are not to sure what.

then you come across something like this.

it is fulfilling.

that is my father. my daddy. my papa.

he was born on november 9, 1951.

he died on september 27, 1987.

he was almost 37 years old.

i was 2.5 years old.

his occupation was a truck driver. my sweet mother supported him in it.

he died due to blood clots in his legs.

when he passed away he was on a truck drive with my mom.

he was a good man. a stylish man.

i love him. i love being a warner. the warners are the best.

one day i will know him. that is what i look forward to.

happy fathers day.

[the day i was born. calling from the hospital!]

[they were short on funds. due to 3 little girls. we were my dads birthday gifts!]

[we were baptized Lutheran as babies. told you my dad was a stylish man!]

[pretty sure i was the favorite. looks like it. but really. we were all daddys girls.]

[i love my family. eternally.]

FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER.

i am also eternally grateful for the father figures that have been put into my life.

i am a very blessed girl to have these men as my papas!

[my uncle steven. my dads brother. he has taken care of us since we were babies.]

[my papa monte. came into my life when i was 12years old. best example of a righteous priesthood holder.]

[wisconsin milwaukee mission president. william arthur barrett. more than just my mission pres. he is my papa bear!]

i leave in the AM with my marmie for a full week of SCONNIE LOVE.

2 transfers ..

today was the day for missionaries to go home in the WMM ..

as of today i have been home for 2 transfers ..

ONE DAY I WILL STOP COUNTING IN 6 WEEK INCREMENTS!

but right now i am NOT yet.

it is crazy how time has flown and yet at time seems slow.

i left my beloved Barretts ..

BUT ..

came home to my beloved WARNERS!

they are SO good to me. 

i heart them to the moon and back. AND MORE!

WARNERS = LOVE

sweet. sweet. love.

and i get to be in the GREAT state of CALIFORNIA!

the city of LA never sleeps. wait isn't that NYC motto?!

whateves.

but MONROVIA is the best. seriously.

look at this GREAT family.

and YES the brown guy is a part of my family.

BFFL jose romo jr is part of this crew!

AND we can NEVER take a NORMAL photo.

this is another reason WHY i love being home with my family.

FOR 2 TRANSFERS NOW!

its great.

WISCONSIN will NEVER leave my heart.

one day though i will STOP counting in transfers .. promise!

the time goes on ..

life is moving along ..

i decided i LOVE the month of MAY.

here are a couple of reasons ..

#1 .. i received my mission call for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on MAY 8th, 2008 !

#2 .. its Mothers day ! i just love my marmie and the fact that i can and hopefully will be a mother one day !

#3 .. SPRING ! enough said.

#4 ..  end of school .. beginning of summer time !

#5 .. i went to the Temple for the first time on MAY 30th, 2008 !

there are many other reasons for me to LOVE the month of May but those are my top 5 that i can think of right now.

something else that i LOVE are MORMON MESSAGES.

this one is very touching to me and i know the many others who have seen this already or who know of the nie nie blog. i LOVE her strength and love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. her and her husband are an inspiration to me.

MARMIES DAY !

this is my marmie. she is the best MOTHER ever.

seriously.

i know EVERYONE says that about their mothers but this is the truth.

just look at her !

i was so HAPPY to hug her tons and tons after NOT being with her for 1.5 years.
