faith to change ! [02.08.10]

this week has been a GOOD GOOD week ! time is flying !

i have been thinking a lot about the gap between BELIEVING & KNOWING !

i was originally reading in Alma 34 to learn more about prayer but i moved up a couple verses and my heart was stuck on this truth.

Alma 34:15-17
"And thus he shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance."

"And thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice, and encircles them in the arms of safety, while he that exercises no faith unto repentance is exposed to the whole law of the demands of justice; therefore only unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the great and eternal plan of redemption."

"Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you;"

mercy and justice are brought about by OUR FAITH TO CHANGE. repentance is changing the things that are not in harmony with Gods teachings and aligning our will with His will while replacing the bad with the good.

if we exercise FAITH that if we give up the things that are not aligned with Gods will and choose the better part then His mercy and justice will take us home to him.

i have thought about this b.c. its a big step in all of our lives and if we do so we will find PEACE, SAFETY and ABOUNDING HAPPINESS. i know this b.c. i have tried it and received it. i love telling people about how the restored gospel of Jesus Christ HEALS US ! i know it does ! and it starts with our FAITH TO CHANGE. then the gap between BELIEVING and KNOWING will no longer exist. we will just KNOW and be STRONG in that and Heavenly Father will continually make us strong as we have faith and are humble ! i love knowing this, teaching it and applying it to myself and those around me.

this week was really good. sister b.johnson and i are bringin out the flame throwers on both sides and thawing madison ! that was straight from president barrett !

we saw miracles daily !

what stuck out most to me was our lesson with JP on friday 02.05.10 ..

our lesson we planned went completly diff then we planned BUT it was amazing and this concern of believing to knowing was brought up with family concerns and we were able to testify boldly that FAITH changes everything and KNOWING also makes everything so much stronger.

JP is an amazing kid. he has seen the restored gospel flow through him and now he is at the gap of believing and knowing and he is scared but with FAITH no fear can reside. he finished the whole BOM but alma and helaman and he is going back to reading those ! i know he will receive his answer and GO FORWARD WITH FAITH !

i LOVE this gospel and all it means to me and those i know have it and need it.

remember : HOPE KEEPS US GOING AND COMBINED WITH FAITH IS WHAT PUSHES US FORWARD !

WOW.

another week is down and we are back to PDAY. i CANNOT believe it. neither can sister b.johnson !

we are running around like crazies in mad town from place to place ! it is amazing. we are LOVING every minute of it.

this week was FILLED with miracles.

i LOVE my companion. i LOVE madison. i LOVE the 4th ward & the university YSA. i LOVE living with the noltemeyers. i LOVE being a representative of Jesus Christ. i LOVE knowing FAITH is KEY.

"Wherefore, by faith was the law of Moses given. But in the gift of his Son hath God prepared a more excellent way; and it is by faith that it hath been fulfilled."

01.25.10 PDAY

we found SAVERS THRIFT STORE. got a great LA PURPLE SCARF for $1 ! the Lord also placed in our path opprotunities to talk and and invite.

we had dinner with the EVANSONS .. the wife = LDS hubby = christian science ! i learned a lot and it was very interesting.

we also uplifted cristinas eve and gave her the opprotunity to see the Lords hand in her life every day. sister b.johnson and i are doing the same thing. writing down a MIRACLE a day ! it is amazing.

the funniest thing was probably sweet 6'3" russell williams calling me an OLD MAID ! thanks chi-town man !

we also went to the insititute and made flyers/posters for the LDSAA with amber ! she just joined the church last may and is awesome !

I FOUND GREAT GRAFITTI ! love it.

we taught JENNY and watched the restoration with her. that movie is amazing. it helps me so much visually. jenny responded really well to it and understood it. she is doing good.

UW ORG FAIR ! we were persistent and went to help set up and talk to students ! it was great. sister b.johnson and i realized we were the FIRST SISTERS to help with UWs LDSSA on campus ! we had a 20 min walk from the union to the institute in 15degrees ! oh man. WE SURVIVED !

MY DEPARTING ZONE CONFERENCE !

wow. it was sad. it was filled with faith. i cant believe it was my last ZC. i am the ONLY one departing from the Madison Zone. but then again only 5 of us are leaving this transfer. i am the only one to cali everyone else utah and idaho !

it was really good. i am so grateful the church found me. president barrett called me a crumb grinder .. kinda funny ! he also referred to me as the missionary cycle. too much to explain now but i will soon ! haha

ZC was all about faith and it was very inspiring and we are working with faith and hope and it keeps pushing us forward !

we had a BUSY day. back to back appts and we got EVERYTHING done that we wanted too ! we taught with the spirit. invited without hesitating and promised with power. this gospel is true and nothing will stop it ! we must have faith !

we got to go to MILWAUKEE ! madison is 1.5hours west of milwaukee !

beth drove us b.c. my sweet HEATHER MARIE BOESE entered the waters of baptism.

the spirit was so STRONG at her baptism. wow. tears were flowing the whole time. it was amazing. i got to be with my lil pluim again and we could not contain our excitement for our sweet heather. we met her back in september and sister boschi always knew she would find healing and the truth through the chruch and on saturday her first step back to HF was taken. i love her.

"Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of God, changed from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters;"

i LOVE sundays. it was tiring b.c. we got back from milwaukee super late and that ment less sleep but HF is there to lift us up.

we met a former CONNIE. she was SWEET. we had a good lesson with her on the nature of God and how he loves His children. she is an artist and oh so cool. we are gonna go back this week and teach her more.

what a good pday already. good start to the month of LOVE.

we taught ESTHER IGBONNA ! she is african and i just love her. she said if the BOM really is the word of God it will stand and she is gonna check it out to see if it is. she loves that the Savior came to the Americas ! she is wonderful. she speaks a cool tribal language too .. IGBO .. it sounds really cool !

today is gonna be a good good day ! and this week ! that is all i can say !

MAD TOWN HERE I AM ! [01.25.10]

MAD TOWN HERE I AM !

wow. what a crazy 2 weeks its been !

we have had LOTS going on ! my last week in MILWAUKEE was the best ! we didnt even have time to pack !

we did lots of fun stuff the week prior to me writting last wednesday but i cant remember all of it now b.c. so much has gone one ..

one BIG highlight was on 01.16.10 was a MINI YOUTH CONF [for the milwaukee north and south stake] and it was ALL on missionary work ! we taught with 2 YW from the brookfield ward about the POS ! it was wonderful. the whole event was put on by the YOUTH ! they wanted to know how to talk to their friends about the gospel so they went straight to the source. their were diff missionaries with diff YW//YM teaching diff parts from PMG ! it was so good. it made me think back on the days when i was a YW and we did MISSIONARY FOR A DAY ! what a blessing that was to me and all who participated. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL !

i did LOTS of goodbyes. its hard to leave an area after being there for so long ! but change is what our Heavenly Father puts us through so that we can become stronger children of His !

on tuesday 01.19.10 we went to go street contact with the NEW missionaries ! one sister came out ! SISTER MAZARIEGOS ! she is a native spanish but fluent in english and is from LA ! how tight is that .. she has been living in OAKLAND for the past year though. it was fun getting to know her and take her out contacting ! my sister little j is TRAINING her ! that means i am a GRANDMA in the WMM ! love it. we kept sister maza that night and then gave her over to little j the next morning !

then we got to spend the whole DAY and NIGHT with my sister black b.c. she was being transferred all the way UP to RHINELANDER ! she is such an awesome missionary and i loved being with her that day !

b.c. of hosting diff sisters and being crazy busy with appts. sister pluim and i had NO TIME to pack ! [sister pluim had to move out from the kozloskys to sister hecks on transfer day 01.21.10 as well] so i aksed president barrett if we could go to Madison transfer night b.c. the transfer van had to go there anyways that night and he said we were good to go !

we packed ALL DAY 01.21.10 and took all sister pluims stuff to sister hecks and we had my new comp sister b.johnson with us as well ! it worked out great just a really long day !

as sister pluim and i hugged to say goodbye we both teared up ! i love that girl and i am already missing her. she is stellar !

we finally got to mad town at a little after 8p and drove to my new home at the NOLTEMEYERS !

oh how i love them ! they are so down ! i have just lucked out so much on my mission ! the LORD loves me !

MY NEW SISTER JOHNSON IS FABULOUS ! she is a greenie yet. i am her follow trainer/buster and we are workin ever so hard !

we cover the MADISON 4th WARD and the MADISON UNIVERSITY YSA WARD ! it is stellar .. mad 4 is a really young family ward. i have never seen so many babies and children in a ward ! not even in UTAH ! haha they are sweet though !

the university ward is SO lucky. they have an INSTITUTE BUILDING right on campus ! it is the ONLY one in the sate of wisconsin and we need to pump it up ! i am to be a part of getting things active there !

sister b.johnson and i are gonna work this place like they have never seen. they members are stellar and they have so many resources !

i love this work ! i feel so blessed.

we just taught ESTHER this morning. she is about in her 50's and is African-American .. she has the sweetest accent and is originally from Nigeria ! we taught her the POS and she got it and loved it. she got super excited when we talked about Jesus Christ coming to the Americas ! she loves the Savior and just loved that He came to us too ! it was sweet.

the work of the Lord will never cease. it is amazing. time is flying in all ways so i will go for now ! we have zone conference this week and this is our focus ! i love it !

Alma 37:33-37
"Preach unto them repentance, and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ; teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart; teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ."

"Teach them to never be weary of good works, but to be meek and lowly in heart; for such shall find rest to their souls."

"O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God."

not only do I find strength in this scripture but it is the YW/YM theme for the year.

it helps me to know that i really am not alone.

MADISON ! it is the Capitol of WISCONSIN. it is the most liberal city is the entire state and it is a BIG DEAL ! the university that is !

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - MADISON is where it goes down. and i have the privilege of working on campus. what President Barrett told me today was that he was sad i was leaving the MILWAUKEE but that MADISON needs me to jump start campus !

I WILL GO AND DO !

i have been blessed to work with YSA my whole mission and its taught me A LOT ! i am excited for the opportunity, trust and faith my Heavenly Father has in me. i will be STRONG and of GOOD COURAGE ! i KNOW He is with me.

the sad part is that i have to leave my sweet girl sister pluim. sister hogge is coming down from the GB to be her companion and she is super lucky to get her ! they will so great here and keep the work alive !

i am going to be with a NEW SISTER JOHNSON ! she came out just one transfer ago. we got to spend a day with her then and she is wonderful. i am super excited. she is very tall as well but what is new when you stand next to me !

so with all this crazy news and the busy week we have had thus far here we are now and i will continue to serve with all my heart, might, mind and strength for the next 6weeks and with that .. I STILL LOVE MAIL !

the crazyness of the week has involved many adventures from last week till now ..

[one cool thing is sister black is with us today b.c. she is getting transfered up to RHINELANDER and her BROTHER went into the MTC today .. he is going to the baltimore maryland mission ! GO ROCKY !]

we went to the MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MUSEUM on monday and saw BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES ! it was fun. you go into this glass room with plants and butterflies are EVERYWHERE and they just land on you ! SO FUN !

i am saying goodbye to TONS of people and getting life organized here .. I GOTS TO PACK YET ! aahhh !

faith is FORWARD .. [01.11.10]

i read the January 2010 Ensign this week and there are POWERHOUSE talks in there. modern day revelation from our Heavenly Father is such a blessing. i felt renewed and strengthened by the words of leaders chosen by God. i was excited that i could share the energy of the gospel with those i met and those we are teaching.

Elder Hollands talk was about FAITH IS FORWARD .. i got to keep pressing forward .. we all have to ! hope is believing there is good in the future, hope and faith work together and hope anchors our faith. hope and faith makes miracles happen and makes our lives peaceful and full of joy !

Ether 12:4
"Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God."

we were able to see our faith and hope and others tested this week as we set out to be instruments in the Lords hand ..

01.04 monday ..
we had YSA FHE and we watched the willie and martin handcart company trek across west and HEATHER B came and it helped her to see how much people sacrificed for this gospel. it opened her heart to knowing that she isnt the only one who has had it hard for the cause of truth.

01.05 tuesday ..
we got to see nikki k who is not very active and just got married less then a year ago to someone not of the LDS faith. we had been trying to call her and no returns. we just stopped by and she was home and we were able to talk with her and she knew before we even said and her husband had realized the change in her countenance since she hadnt been coming to church. she had been less patient and life seemed harder. she told us her husband told her she needed to go back to church !

sister pluim also experienced her FIRST BRAT ! the sweet barretts made us dinner ! just them 2 and us 2 and we had hamburgers and brats ! president served his mission in germany so he loves sauerkraut and i had never had it so i tried it ! it was interesting !

01.06 wednesday ..
2 beautiful experiences this day ..

1st .. we set out to find MYLES TAYLOR .. i met his RM sister over the christmas break in the YSA ward and she told us to find her brother and WE DID. he hasnt been active since his teen years and you could see in his eyes that he wanted more but couldnt do it on his own. sometimes we think we have to do it on our own or that we are the only one but that is not true ! our Heavenly Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ is there for us and want us to rely on Them. we told his of this sweet blessing and we said a prayer with him. we are hoping he takes the right choice and acts forward in faith.

2nd .. HEATHER B .. we had a lesson with her at the boschis house that eve and boy was it jammed packed of the spirit. sister pluim and i studied and prepared for her and we were going to invite her to baptism for 01.30.10 and sister pluim was going to do it [she has never yet and she was super nervous but the spirit was with her !] the lesson was beautiful. we talked about alma 32 and her being the seed and sprouting and she ACCEPTED BAPTISM and is super excited and HAPPY. but nervous b.c. she has a lot of grand canyons to go over with her family. she is Lutheran and the most conservative senate and its not easy when you convert. but heather is strong and has a lot of faith. [she has a good name and faith as you H !]

01.07 thursday ..
14 YEARS OF BEING A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS ! how grateful i am to you elder pittard and elder bills for knocking on our door and teaching us the greater light and knowledge that has blessed my family and i over the last 14 years. THANK YOU.

01.08 friday ..
we had dinner with the LITTLE FAMILY. oh what fun they were. i loved being in there house and sharing stories of finding the gospel. they are from snowflake, az and have been here for about 2years now ! they are wonderful and so full of energy ! we started making family mission plans with the members in the muskego lakes ward and they are super excited about it ! it gets them pumped about missionary work and shows how natural and everyday it is !

01.09 saturday ..
lots of fun. lots of food. started the morning at the Fannons and had breakfast and we made it for them ! it was a good mtg and lots of fun trying to stay warm but that is a constant task for me anyways.

we had an amazing lesson with heather and angela [she is a YSA preparing for a mission!] at the chapel about the Holy Spirit. it was strong and heather gets it and wants it. she is wonderful. [i also figured out that we play SPIRITUAL CLUE everyday ! we have SOMEONE to teach, then we must find WHAT to teach them, WHERE to teach them, and with WHO to teach them with ! ITS CLUE ! ex. investigator heather b / what : the holy ghost / where : the chapel / who : angela palick .. the best is HEAVENLY FATHER WINS EVERY TIME .. we just need to listen to his hints ! I GOT IT ! haha oh sister pluim loved it and thought i was crazy at the same time !]

that night was GRETCHENS baptism. she is a YSA the elders were teaching. she is our wml girlfriend from MU dental school. it was a full house of people and the spirit.

then sister pluim and i went out with our sweet sara, katie wenzel, and a couple other YSA to TEXAS ROADHOUSE for sister pluims first time ! it was very yummy and very fun !

01.10 sunday ..
WORLD RECORD AT CHURCH ! 8am - 9pm ! we loved every moment of it ! we had the YSA potluck and the CES Broadcast by Elder Neil L. Andersen ! it was amazing ! i needed it and everyone that was there did. it was especially for heather b too !

its gonna be a good good week ! we find out this saturday TRANSFERS ! i am kinda on edge b.c. i have 1 transfer yet and it could go either way of me staying or going !

I WILL GO WHERE YOU WANT ME TO GO DEAR LORD !

the new year = a new start ! [01.04.10]

i LOVE crazy WISCONSIN.

the end.

the WIS has my heart. it has for the last 16 months and will continue to FOREVER.

i feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to represent my Saviour day in and day out. EVERYDAY i get to put my tag on that tells everyone who looks at me that i am SISTER WARNER and that i am a representative of Jesus Christ. its a lot of responsibility but is it ever so wonderful.

with each day i learn and grow. each day Heavenly Father uses me as His instrument. each day there are miracles around us. each day i feel Heavenly Fathers hand in my life. each day i get to share the JOY, PEACE & NEW BEGINNINGS with those around me. all day .. everyday .. I LOVE IT !

and the other good news is that you dont have to be a full time missionarie to spread this joy and peace to everyone. we can and do each day as we live our lives the way Jesus Christ has showed us. that is the most important way to be a missionary and we each do that.

live life as is if the Saviour, Jesus Christ, himself stood by us each minute of each day.

this was a good week especially with the new year. the new year = a new start !

just like the gospel of Jesus Christ gives a new start to our lives each and everyday. we dont need to wait for the new year we can change and apply the gospel TODAY !

we had WONDERFUL lessons with our sweet heather b this week !

we taught her about prayer and the way the spirit talks to us. she also got a priesthood blessing from e.mcclung and e.hatch b.c. of all the family troubles she was going through. she loved it. she wrote that night in her journal about the experience and it was beautiful. heather express herself the best in writing and poems and it is wonderful. she is so full of the spirit. she is really reading the bom and gets it and that is a blessing. she will get baptized. keep her in your prayers !

also i got to see my MISSY BLOOM ! she was home in the WIS for the holidays and i got to see her when she came to milwaukee. i love missy. she is so full of the spirit and understands the gospel and what it all means. its so cool to see and hear her growth !

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE AND DAY !

we got to party it up at sister hecks house for a bit and then went home to the KOZLOSKYS who were partying it up a ton ! b.c. it was really loud and that is where we live we stayed up and rang in the new year with them and then promptly went to bed at 12:15a !

new years day was fun b.c. when we were up getting breakfast papa k [brother kozlosky] just happened to have the ROSE PARADE on while i was in the kitchen ! it was so cool to get a glimpse at pasadena ! it looked warm there ..

as i was freezing here in the WIS we went down to the LAKEFRONT to go watch the annual POLAR BEAR PLUNGE. wisconsinities are CRAZY ! it was freezing that day .. i think it was 7degrees but that is excluding the windchill ! they ran into the lake and then jumped out. a bunch of our YSA did it. SO CRAZY.

we stopped by the KLINGLERS and sweet julieanne was home ! love that girl. i met her through my mama hood in the GB but she is from the Muskego. we had custard together the next night and talked about her life and the gospel. she is grand.

we had a good good week !

the best was SUNDAY 01.03

there are a lot of reasons ..

1. sister pluim and i get to be together the ENTIRE TIME. no more finding companions in other wards and missing each other. we get to be together the WHOLE church time. this is b.c. muskego moved to 8:30a and YSA is at 2:30p .. we have meetings in between and its kinda crazy that we are at chruch from 8a - 6p but its the work of the Lord and it is sweet.

2. we got to bear our testimonies .. all 6 missionaries in the Muskego Lakes Ward. and sister pluim and i had matching sweaters on. [we forgot to take a picture but it will happen] that is what i call companionship unity !

3. SARA EMILY HASKELL was confirmed a member of the LDS church. her blessing was beautiful and we were sitting behind her after she came down from her confirmation and her friend she brought [best missionary ever] asked her how she felt and we saw her mouth so simply, "im happy!" we loved it. we love her.

MY FAMILY THIS GOSPEL IS TRUE ! it gives us the fulness of the gospel. its gives us the greatest joy, peace and HOPE ! it is here for us to use. lets use it !

time to shout .. 2010 ! [12.29.09]

let us SHOUT ! its gonna be 01.01.2010 ! CRAZY !

i CAN NOT believe 2009 is over. wow. its gone by SO fast.

i think the year goes by faster when you have seasons. in beautiful LA you have 1 season .. that is SUN. in WI you have 4 and it is wonderful. i feel like is does make the year go by faster too !

right now the season is .. FROZEN TUNDRA yet. but that is ok. we do the work yet b.c. we LOVE it. in any season of weather of phase of missionary work.

i am so grateful i have had an ENTIRE YEAR dedicated to serve my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. the 2009 year has been full of miracles and blessings. to see the restored gospel work in the lives of Heavenly Fathers children is indescribable.

i love being His instrument in bringing others unto Christ. its an amazing feeling. i know there is plenty more to do, see and say. it doesnt stop at the end of 2009 .. it keeps going forever b.c. this is the truth ! i will keep going forward with faith and perseverance b.c. i know what i have is the most important to everyone and anyones soul !

i am excited for 2010 and all the miracles and opprotunities i have yet to share the restored gospel. my promise to my Savior Jesus Christ this year is to always be His disciple through thick and thin ! as we put of the "natural man" we can see the amazing blessings the Lord has in store for us and is wanting to give us. He loves us. He loves you.

i know we just talked this week and that was a BLESSING right there. it was SO good to hear your voices and feel your love through the phone. thank you for making it a wonderful day even though i was far away from you.

this last week we went and CAROLED a lot ! people loved it ! [papa i am going to come and carol to you and you will love it ! haha] it gave us an opprotunity to see people and show them our love for them !

we had a lot of snow this week and a lot of sickness as well. i was sick right before christmas and my lil s.pluim was sick right after christmas.

she woke up sunday morning DYING and we both had to speak in church. she did a wonderful job [she doesnt even remember what she said!] and then at the end of the 3 hour block she went home to sleep with mama k as her comp and i stayed for the YSA with natalya as mine. she slept for over 12 hours and is feeling great now !

we were def teken care of by our members for the holidays ! i love this area !

we had two really great experiences after i talked to you on christmas.

the first : saturday 12.26.09
we had an appt with the MILLERS ..cliff is their YSA son who joined the church 2 years ago and they have a daughter who lives at home yet. they live in GENOA CITY. its a long ways away from our central area. so we start driving in a white out snow storm and get to Genoa City almost 1.5hours later. we got there safe and the appt was AMAZING. the spirit was so strong and cliff .. who is preparing for a mission .. gave and amazing spirit felt invite for his family to take the lessons. it was beautiful. we can teach his sister but the elkhorn elders will teach the family. so the night was just beautiful. we go to leave and i start following my wonderful GPS to get back to Muskego .. all of a sudden i see a sign that said "WELCOME TO ILLINOIS" i just start screaming. we just left our mission. s.pluim just looked at me and said i was wondering why you were following the sign that said Chicago. I DID NOT SEE THAT SIGN AND DID NOT KNOW THAT GENOA CITY WAS ON THE BORDER OF WISCONSIN/ILLINOIS !

so we are just laughing and we turn around before we go to far into ILLINOIS and then we see the sign that says "WELCOME TO WISCONSIN" we felt so much better ! we decided it was a picture worthy adventure and took pictures of both signs ! what a good day !

the second : sunday/monday 12.27.09 & 12.28.09
on sunday s.pluim and i spoke in the Muskego Lakes Ward on : The Book of Mormon - The Word of God. it went really well despite s.pluims sickness but ZAK KEIR [a RM of just a couple months] brought 2 of his friends. super exciting. then came up to us after and said "this is Mike, he wants help to stop smoking and wants to learn more and be baptized." of course we are totally down with that !

later in the day at chruch our Heather B came to church in the YSA even though she didnt want to and the very first speaker said everything she needed to hear. the Lord blesses us.

then to monday 12.28 ..
we had interviews with President Barrett and they were amazing. i love that man. i am so grateful for his wise counsel and instruction. [this is also why we missed emails yesterday !]

we had a snow ball fight in his backyard while waiting for interviews. that was invigorating !

then we went to big bend and had an amazing appt with Mike and Zak you can tell was an excellent missionary on his mission in the AZ. mike is gonna stop smoking and prepare for baptism ! Zak lives in the middle of the woods and so after the appt. his dad [whos is not LDS] asked if zak could get some .. meaning A LOT .. of firewood stacked back up .. i called out and volunteered s.pluim and i to do it .. at first bro. keir was hesitent b.c. of our skirts but let us do it with the of course the help of zak, mike and spencer riches who came ! it was so much fun !

then that night we went to the boschis to have a lesson with our sweet heather. she is struggling b.c. her mom is very against the LDS Church and it is hurting her a lot. but she loves the Church b.c. it makes her happy and makes sense. it was an amazing lesson and i love heather so much.

all in all a beautiful week of miracles and getting to hear your voices.

i love having a new year. a new start on goals and new seasons of weather and life.

i love this restored gospel. it makes life so happy.

i am so grateful for you my family that keeps me going.

Heavenly Father is a God of Miracles ! lots of craziness went down this week.

monday 12.14 .. SARA EMILY HASKELL gave us the green light for her to be baptized on DECEMBER 20, 2009 ! WE, sister pluim and i knew from confirmation from the Holy Ghost, that she would be baptized that day when we extended her the date a month prior but she was scared and nervous about what her mom would say. she knew what her Heavenly Father wanted her to do but she was still scared. she got to have a good heart to heart with her mom and she got work off to come down from 3 hours up north to make it to saras baptism ! it was beautiful. her FAITH is amazing ! [jose romo jr. your conversion letter came at the perfect time for sara haskell .. what you wrote was what she needed and i just happened to have it in my bag ! thank you.]

the craziness of getting everything set for saras baptism continued ! we had her baptismal interview on UWM campus and that was so cool itself. sara was testifying to students at our booth on 12.16 about a living prophet and inviting all to her baptism ! her interview went great and we started making the program for who she wanted involved !

the craziest part about all of it was her best friend danielle brading was going to be flying in the day before from BYUprovo and had no idea sara was going to be baptized. sara was going to tell her when she got off the plane. the brading family and saras mom and friends from uwm were all going to come to church and then the baptism would happen. all was set !

fast forward to saturday 12.19 @ 10:45p [we were already supposed to be asleep haha!] SARA CALLS .. danielle missed her connecting flight b.c. something happened with a medical emergency ! OH MAN. the main person who was wanted & needed at the baptism is stuck. i told sara i had faith in HF and His Son Jesus Christ and this is the best thing she could be doing and EVERYTHING would work out.

again, Heavenly Father is a God of Miracles. dani's flight would now be getting in at 4p on 12.20 .. saras baptism 6:30p on 12.20 ! [good thing everything was happening in milwaukee !] as i was sitting in sacrament with saras mom kinda stressing about the time and planes and if this was all going to work according to Gods will the speaker said to turn to LUKE 1 .. as we read what she told us to i read on and came to vs. 37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible." Heavenly Father answered me quietly and with surety.

EVERYONE arrived right on time and the tears of joy flowed from danis and saras eyes as sara entered the waters of baptism. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. i love those girls. they have been BEST FRIENDS since age 7. dani has always wanted sara to have what she treasured. the restored gospel and all the blessings. yesterday sara made that first step. i am so grateful Heavenly Father used sister pluim and i as His instruments to teach sara and prepare her for this beautiful convenant.

yesterday was beautiful. as i sat there watching dani and sara it remined me of jose romo jr and i. his baptism almost 2 years ago on the 12.23 is a day i will NEVER forget. i never understood how the life i lived affected someone so close to me until jose romo jr started meeting with the missionaries. people watch us and want to know what is different. i am so grateful i was able to be friends with you jose romo jr and be by your side as you made your steps toward receiving the fulness of the gospel of jesus christ.

the rest of the week was filled with Christmas cheer !

we had CHRISTMAS ZONE CONFERENCE. it was so uplifting and inspiring !

i love this time of year so much. we have so much to rejoice in.

i want to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and to truly focus on what this season and our lives are about .. JESUS CHRIST.

there are 2 videos that are on LDS.ORG that are amazing. president monson is an inspired man of the Lord. watch and feel of the Christmas spirit and what our true focus should be. it has helped me think ALOT about the true season we are in.

i find great joy in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. not only do we have the bible as a record of our Savior but we have the Book of Mormon as well. it nails down that the Savior did live and and that He gave us the wonderful gift of the Atonement and Eternal Life. He still lives today ! He gave us SO many gifts. let us remember Him and what we will give for Christ.

this transfers theme is always fitting .. ETTE !

its cold now .. wisconsinities shut themselves up in their warm homes .. traveling takes longer .. more coats and scarfs ..

BUT

we are on a MISSION TO BRING OTHERS UNTO CHRIST !

we will ENDURE TO THE END with JOYFULL HEARTS OF PRAISE !

1 Nephi 13:37
"And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be."

i love this season SO MUCH. i find myself loving and appreciating so much more. my thoughts are so much more focused on the Savior and his life .. it needs to be like that ALL THE TIME ! i find great joy in this gospel and knowing MY SAVIOR.

we are here to publish peace and tidings of great joy in all sorts of weather and conditions. we hold something so precious for all mankind to hear about ! we are joyfully enduring to the end .. not only of the winter BUT of our missions and our life !

this week was full of CRAZINESS ! because we are the MILWAUKEE SISTERS we get all the funness of transfers ! being right next to the mission home and office is a blessing and crazy all at the same time !

12.07 .. FUN FUN FUN YSA FHE .. we did a white elephant gift exchange and HEATHER & SARA came ! they love the YSA and the YSA love them. they are so good at fellowshipping and bringing others unto christ.

12.08 .. district meeting was SO good. we each taught on a christlike attribute and it helped me understand how being like Christ is the way for life. we taught GWEN VANG [rc] with the hmong elders. she is so funny. she tried to trick us and she got ME so good. she told us that france didnt approve her green card so she would have to go back to paris and i believed her .. i was so relieved when she said she was just joking !

we also we STREET CONTACTING @ MARQUETTE with the brand new missionaries ! when the new ones come in they take them street contacting somewhere in milwaukee but i didnt get to do it when i was a greenie b.c. our flight was later .. SO we got to go this time with President and the new sister johnson ! it was a lot of fun and good for us b.c. that is our area !

we had an AMAZING lesson with our SARA @ uwm. i just love her. she gets it all. her world has opened up and it is amazing. we are hoping for her baptism this weekend. she has such FAITH.

that night was a HUGE SNOW STORM ! it was so bad it took us almost an hour to get back home when it usually only takes 20 mins. a lot of snow fell so WI is now WHITE !

12.09 .. we had to go and get the new sister johnson .. her comp didnt fly out with her so we were gonna keep the other sisters trainer for a couple weeks until sister skinner came out .. the beginning of the transfer is crazy down here in MILWAUKEE !

we made gingerbread houses that night with LEESA and her med school friends .. it was a ton of fun and i feel like mine looked pretty good !

12.10 .. TRANSFER DAY ! it was also -10 that day ! oh man were we cold ! we took s.hamblin and s.behrends around to see people they use to teach .. it was good for us and fun ! 5 sisters together at once !

that night Muskego Lakes had their RS christmas dinner. we played fun games and got to be with the women ! it was good.

12.11 .. TRANSFER PLANNING .. oh shoot me. we had lots to plan for this transfer and we still do ! i love planning though .. goals are what keep us going !

we went and watched the K's play volleyball that night .. it was fun and we got to talk to their friends !

12.12 .. what a good day ! we went to the MILWAUKEE HMONG NEW YEAR ! we got to dress up with pang kou ! s. hogge was our trio for what was supposed to be a couple weeks but was only a couple days ! [the mtc called and let her comp fly out !] s.hogge and s.pluim never went to any hmong function so we had A LOT of fun !

that night we went to the airport with the barretts to pick up s.hogge's comp SISTER SKINNER ! it was fun ! then we all went to dinner and got to know each other !

then we went to the YSA CHRISTMAS PARTY ! we had 6 nonmembers there ! just friends of our sweet YSA. it was so good and so fun. HEATHER won the ugly sweater contest ! she was thrilled !

12.13 .. MY 16 MONTH MARK AS SISTER WARNER. never did i think i would hit that mark. WOW. its been so amazing to wake up every morning and put on a tag with the saviors name right by mine. i love it. i wouldnt trade this opprotunity for the world.

church was SO good. the YSA ward is tearing it up and i have a new found LOVE, HOPE and FAITH for the ML ward !

this week is ZONE CONFERENCE !

CHRISTMAS IS COMING SO FAST ! that means i get to talk to you family ! i am SO excited !

IT IS ON ! [12.07.09]

IT IS ON .. like donkey kong [in the words of my lil' pluim !]

so we will start with the #1 news .. TRANSFER CALLS CAME ..

SISTER PLUIM & I ARE STAYING TOGETHER FOR A 3rd TRANSFER ..

and

HERE IN THE MUSKEGO LAKES & MILWAUKEE 3rd YSA !

IT IS ON ! we are SO happy we didnt feel as if we were done together yet and neither does the Lord ! we have so much to do here .. PUMP IT LOUDER !

the next 6 weeks are gonna be good ! and also another bonus is my sister black and sister johnson are still in RACINE ! we are only .5 hour away .. what a blessing ! this christmas season is gonna be good !

so with that in mind all i am not done yet ! i still love letters and anything that comes in the mail ! im coming home soon but not so soon at the same time .. you'll probably see my face in person in the 3rd month of the year so keep the encouragment and love comin ! send it here ..

and now on to the week of sister warner and sister pluim !

last monday pday was an exciting one ! we had a PUDDING EATING CONTEST .. sponsored by the pluim family ! they sent her 20 boxes of jello pudding ! it was fun ! sister heck took us out to eat and our waitress' name was ALMA ! i proceeded to teach her about the BOM [book of mormon] the almas that wrote their history .. it was cool ! she enjoyed it and her name ! did you know ALMA = SOUL .. i thought that was cool.

tuesday was the 1st of December .. where has time gone ? we got to meet KAREN GONZALES .. who just moved here from new hampshire .. she joined the church there but she is origianlly from SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA ! crazy. she was nice and we are helping her get life in wisconsin under control.

that 12.01 eve we had dinner at the mission home with the ever famous and lovely AMY BROWN from GB .. she came to milwaukee and wanted to take us out but we took her to the barretts for supper b.c. after that we went CAROLING ! oh how i love to carol .. it bring the spirit of Christ around you like a big warm coat ! we went to carol with the barretts to their neighbors and a couple other people that were our investigators. IT WAS A FUN AND BEAUTIFUL NIGHT WITH A FULL MOON !

UWM was hoppin this week ! a LDS student brought a friend to institute and he is coming back next week ! our BOOTH was rockin ! we had a lot of success in talking and reaching out to people. i found DYLAN [our athiest] and got to talk to him about the BOM. it was a good conversation and i am so grateful for the power of PERSONAL TESTIMONY. the truth of all things is shown through the power of the Holy Ghost and we need to do all we can to LISTEN. i am so grateful i listened.

CLIFF MILLER .. one of our awesome YSA made us a Japanese dinner that night .. it had tofu in it and i loved it !

12.03 = SISTER BARRETTS SUPRISE BIRTHDAY BASH @ the mission office ! we had a fun time suprising her and singing and dancing for her !

that night we stopped at a YSA womens house who is going through some tough times. it was a very inspired visit, we just stopped by. the spirit was strong and Heavenly Father told us exactly what she needed to hear. she thanked us as we prayed with her and we all felt Heavenly Fathers love around us.

SARA ! oh how i love that girl. she keeps me going. we saw her at UWM on friday. we talked with her a little about the POS but also shared with her how she is like ALMA who listened to ABINADI .. she is just ONE but b.c. of her faith and goal of baptism she will bring many into the gospel. PRAY FOR SARA ! she knows she is getting baptized, we know she is getting baptized, she is waiting to hear her moms point of view. SHE IS AMAZING ! i love her.

that night NATALYA [who got her mission call to the fortworth, texas mission] came out and was our companion ! we went and caroled to a bunch of people to invite them to the CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL ! it was fun. she is going to be an amazing missionary !

on saturday 12.05 WE GOT TO GO TO THE CHICAGO TEMPLE ! oh how i love the temple. we went for natalyas endowments and we also saw former E. HORROCKS and E.THOMAS there for a RC endowments from madison ! it was fun. peace and reassurance that you are on Heavenly Fathers path is found in the temple. it was a good day.

that night we got to party it up with the YSA ! cliff had a get together to bring in the winter and had a lot of friends and his family there that we could talk to ! it was really fun. i met ELLIE who was so cool ! her major is PHOTOGRAPHY. so not only did we bond over cameras but also with the gospel of jesus christ. the assistants came too ! they like to pary it up !

YESTERDAY WAS AMAZING ! i love the sabbath day. what i love even more is fast sunday. and added bonus was the CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL ! if you didnt get to see it yet .. WATCH IT ON LDS.ORG ! it brought the true meaning of christmas to everyones mind and started out the holiday season right !

cliffs family came to church and the broadcast ! they are amazing ! pat miller is the dad and HE LOOKS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE UNCLE STEVE ! it was fun ! we got to teach them a lot about the restored gospel. i think yesterday opened a whole new road for cliffs family !

THIS WEEK IT IS ON ! its the start of a new transfer and MANY MIRACLES ! the Lord truly blesses us when we give all we can ! that is what we are going to do .. WORK EVEN HARDER ! this area needs a lot and we are willing to give ! we are not done !
